South East Queensland is the fastest-growing region in Australia, with a combined population approaching four million across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Logan, Ipswich, the Redlands, Moreton Bay and the Scenic Rim. The NDIS catchment within this region is substantial and continues to grow with population.

Our virtual FCA model is ideally suited to the South East Queensland geography. Participants in fast-growing outer corridors — Springfield, Ripley, Yarrabilba, Caboolture, Beerwah, Coomera — have historically struggled to access specialist NDIS assessors clustered in inner Brisbane or established Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast centres. Telehealth removes that imbalance. The same experienced clinician is available within a week regardless of which SEQ postcode the participant lives in.

Queensland is the second-largest state in Australia by area, and its NDIS participants are spread across an extraordinary geographic footprint. Beyond the South East corner, we provide assessments for participants in the Wide Bay region (Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Gympie), Central Queensland (Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay), the Whitsundays, Townsville, Cairns, the Atherton Tableland, Cape York communities, the Gulf country and the Outback (Mount Isa, Longreach, Charleville).

For participants in remote and very remote Queensland communities, telehealth FCA is often the only realistic pathway to specialist NDIS evidence. In-person assessors rarely service these communities, and when they do, the wait times can stretch beyond six months. Our virtual model offers the same 7 business day turnaround whether the participant lives in New Farm or Normanton.

The NDIA's Queensland operations are distributed across multiple regional partner offices, with major presences in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Townsville and Cairns. Different planner teams have particular familiarity with the cohort profiles in their region — for example, the substantial paediatric and autism caseloads in the South East corner, the high First Nations participation in North Queensland, and the cyclone-related disability profiles in coastal communities.

Our reports are written to the national NDIS reasonable and necessary framework while accommodating these regional patterns. Where Queensland planners are reviewing complex SIL, SDA, ILO or psychosocial applications, our FCA reports provide the structured evidence needed to satisfy the six reasonable and necessary criteria first time.

Brisbane and Queensland participants access every specialist service we offer. Our state-wide SIL assessment service includes costed Rosters of Care and behaviour-of-concern overlay. SDA assessments work alongside major Queensland SDA developers and accommodation operators. Psychosocial FCAs support Queensland's substantial mental health cohort. Autism FCAs address Queensland's high autism participation rate. Neurological FCAs support participants with ABI, MS, Parkinson's, stroke and other neurological conditions across the state.

Each pathway is delivered with the same 7 business day turnaround regardless of the participant's Queensland location.

Many Queensland NDIS participants are connected to one of the state's Hospital and Health Services — Metro North, Metro South, West Moreton, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay, Central Queensland, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Hinterland, Torres and Cape, Darling Downs, South West, Central West, North West. Our FCAs coordinate with these networks, integrating allied health reports, behaviour support plans, neuropsychological assessment and specialist medical letters into a single coherent functional narrative.

We also work with the major specialist services — the Queensland Children's Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women's, the Mater, the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Townsville University Hospital, Cairns Hospital, and the network of community health centres across regional Queensland.

Queensland has the largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of any Australian state outside the Northern Territory. Many First Nations Queensland NDIS participants engage through Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations or community-based supports. Our virtual FCA model accommodates this engagement directly — sessions can be conducted alongside Aboriginal Liaison Officers, community workers or family members, with culturally safe framing throughout.
