What is an Occupational Therapy Functional Capacity Assessment?

An Occupational Therapy Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive clinical report that documents a person's functional ability across all aspects of daily life. For NDIS participants, the assessment is designed specifically to provide evidence of functional impact and support recommendations the NDIA can rely on when making funding decisions.

Our Occupational Therapists assess across the eight NDIS functional domains — communication, social interaction, learning, mobility, self-care, self-management, daily living and household tasks — and quantify the daily and weekly supports a participant requires to live safely and participate meaningfully in the community.

Why an Occupational Therapist?

Occupational Therapists are specifically trained to assess function — not just impairment.
